Nestled at the base of Sheba 's breast mountain with a view over the Ezulwini
valley and Mdzimba hills, Lidwala Backpacker Lodge is a comfortable safe-haven for volunteers, youth groups, backpackers & independent travelers. Sleeping up to 20 people & situated among large boulders (hence it's name), big indigenous trees & a flowing stream, Lidwala offers a degree of exclusivity at budget rates.
The Lodge is conveniently located for travelling being a Baz Bus stop on the
main Ezulwini road directly opposite the entrance to Woodlands Restaurant (mango- zeni combi stop) and within walking distance of most of Ezulwini's main facilities & attractions (craft markets, the Gables shopping centre, hotels, restaurants). A shuttle service is available from the lodge on special arrangement and " humba " bikes are also available to pop down the road and visit the craft market. There is parking available for self drive guests.
The lodge has a number of dorms for accommodating volunteers. It also has
some dorms and en suite twin or double rooms for independant travellers. All rooms have a verandah. There is a TV lounge with board games and a large deck with pool table & dart board. The lodge is surrounded by spacious gardens with a communal braai area. Whether relaxing with a book in a hammock takes your fancy or hiking to the top of Sheba 's breast mountain, Lidwala backpacker lodge is a beautiful base and is very centrally located in Swaziland 's "valley of heaven".
